Monday, May 17th, 2010

I am thinking of starting my own catering business from home. What licenses or requirements do I need? Do i need a license or anything for doing it from my home? Any info would be great.

How do I obtain a license for just driving to and from work?

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

I am a adult, and I have had some problems attaining license. I live in maine and have completed hours required to obtain a license, however I had to get my permit re-enstated due to the fact it expired on the day of the test. I now have new permit and for the time being I need a "work" (drivers) license to get me to and from work. I was told about this license by a fellow employee. I am a full time chef at a restaraunt and I need this really soon cause being driven isn’t working out.

I’m over 18 have completed hours required and am safe driver with clean record, any help will be appreciated.

Talk to a judge, he can give you a hard ship license that is only good for you to drive to and from work.
Be aware If you are not going to work and you are stopped bu the cops for joy riding, you will loose what you got. and then it is bicycle city for you

What kind of license would you need to sell items from your house, or maybe even a store?

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

My friend has been wanting to make her own "store" and asked me what kind of license you would need, and all these other questions.
How old do you have to be to get a license?
How do you get a license?
How much does it cost?
What kind of license do you need if your selling perfume, and lotion?

Depends on the state. Offhand I don’t know of any state requiring a license for selling perfume and lotions. If your state has a sales tax you’d have to register to collect that. It’s usually called a "Reseller’s Certificate".

A state’s "Secretary of State" website usually has data on this sort of thing.

How to Transfer license plates while selling a vehicle?

Friday, May 7th, 2010

I am selling my car to a person from a different state and I want to know how to handle the license plates for the vehicle.
1. Should I remove my license plate before I hand over the vehicle
2. If the buyer does not have a license plate that he can use, does the buyer provide a temporary license plate or the seller, and from which state?
3. Can I use my license plate on another vehicle that I have?

1. YES!
2 It’s the buyer’s responsibility to obtain proper plates to drive the vehicle legally.
3. As long as you properly transfer the plates to the new vehicle, yes.
