What license do i need to pilot a beech king air for a business.?
do i need a commercial license or a instrumental license.
as long as nobody is paying you for the flying, such as youre a salesman that needs something faster than a car, you need a private pilot certificate with a multiengine class rating. faa doesnt issue licenses. why would you need something as expensive as a king air if you dont want to get an instrument rating. you don’t need one but you’ll never be able to take advantage of the speed capability without one.

Not that simple – a business wouldn’t even consider you without a Private, Multi-Engine, Instrument, and Commercial rating. Especially if you’re flying around people who are essentially paying for the aircraft. The constraints that are in place that would require you to have a Commercial rating for this sort of piloting are very odd because if you were, in fact, flying them around, you’d have to pay for the entire trip out of your own pocket and not accept any reimbursement, because that commercializes your services.

If you will be compensated in any way–even indirectly–for piloting services, you must have a commercial certificate and a multi-engine rating. You won’t get much use out of a King Air without an instrument rating.
The problem you will have will be with insurance. You won’t be able to get insurance on a complex turbine airplane without lots and lots of experience in the airplane. Also, many models of King Air require two pilots. So you will need to hire professional crew members in any case for all but the smallest models.
So as a business decision maker, you need to talk this over in detail with the broker who will help you make the purchase. Good Luck!

You need your commercial multi engine instrument. Some businesses may require ATP. You will also need your high performance and complex aircraft rating.
