What Pilot License is required for a Twin Engine aircraft?
I know that a Private Pilot License is required for a single engine aircraft. But what License in required for a twin engine?
Also, any websites that will help me out with what the budget of it is. As I’m from the UK, only UK Sites please if it has prices.
Any site please if it has a lot of information about it all.
I fly in the UK because I’m FROM the UK and thats where I live. I’m not going to U.S to fly a plane.
A Private Pilot Licence, with a multi-engine rating. A typical twin engine training aircraft will cost approximately the equivalent of $ 2,200-2,500 per hour.

It’s a multi-engine rating. You will receive training in a smaller twin-piston aircraft such as a Piper Aztec or Beechcraft Baron.

A private license is sufficient, you just need about 10 hours of multi-engine training and a check ride to add a mu lti-engine rating to a private license. However because of the general much higher performance capabilities of a twin I would strongly recommend that you first obtain an Instrument rating before a multi-engine add on.
These are U.S. rules I am not certain of U.K. requirements.

Well, you did ask your question on the US version of Yahoo Answers. There is a UK version, and you just click on the symbol of your country’s flag at the bottom of the screen. Most of the people on here are in and from the US, so that’s the information they have.

The same requirements apply to twin engine aircraft as single engine aircraft. I am a CFII – single and multi-engine instructor. I once taught a guy to fly his Piper Apache with zero time in an aircraft.

Private with multi engine rating. Appox. 10 hours of training. That is usually sufficient to have enough confidence to kill yourself when an engine fails. The minimum is woefully inadequate. Seek out a GOOD instructor that has ALOT of multi time.
