How much is a speeding ticket in California?
I got a speeding ticket in LA county for doing 80 in a 65mph zone.
This is technically my 8th offense, but I have gotten only 2 speeding tickets in the past two years (not all 7 other tickets were done within a year, I’ve gotten them over a long period of time).
How much would my ticket cost me? I know I found out that they charge $20 more for each offense you have within 36 months.
According to the California Uniform Bail Schedule, the total amount for a violation of CVC 22349, 22350 or 22351 for 15mph over is $211 which includes the total bail of $146 plus the $65 court security and conviction assessment. The previous convictions won’t affect the fine but could affect your license depending on how many points you have already.
If you want to pay it, go ahead but there are ways to fight it especially if you were paced. It takes a lot of work and is a bit complicated but if you want to know about it, update here and I’ll give you the info. It just takes a while to write and I want to be sure it is read.
I’ll check back for the update.

I hope they revoke your license. You are dangerous and could really hurt someone

You can look it up on the courts website or simply call them to find out. Most counties in CA will allow you to take a traffic school class (you can take a class all online with TicketRelief.com if you need to know who has the cheapest price) every 18 months. By taking a class you can have the points removed from your license.
